Community Band

Programs for All -
Fall 2024

Come learn a new instrument in Community Beginner Band or pick up where you left off in Community Band. No matter how long it's been, you're invited to make music with us! Rehearsals are held at Washington Middle School under the direction of Jennifer Garrison Brown. A live performance, showcasing the talents of our community musicians has quickly become a beloved district-wide tradition. The next free concert performance, featuring this fall's participants, is planned for December 7. 

The Community Band consists of community members, staff, current students (11 years+) and alumni! Some experience in the following instruments is preferred (unless you'd like to join the Community Beginner Band): bassoon, clarinet, euphonium, flute, French horn, oboe, percussion, saxophone, trombone, tuba or trumpet.

Participants are asked to provide their own instrument. If you no longer have an instrument, please contact Jennifer Garrison Brown, JBrown@msdr9.org, for help in locating one.
