Rehearsals are held at Washington Middle School under the direction of Jennifer Garrison Brown. A live performance, showcasing the talents of our community musicians has quickly become a beloved district-wide tradition. The next free concert performance, featuring this fall's participants, is planned for December 7. The Community Band consists of community members, staff, current students (11 years+) and alumni! Some experience in the following instruments is preferred (unless you'd like to join the Community Beginner Band): bassoon, clarinet, euphonium, flute, French horn, oboe, percussion, saxophone, trombone, tuba or trumpet. Participants are asked to provide their own instrument. If you no longer have an instrument, please contact Jennifer Garrison Brown, JBrown@msdr9.org, for help in locating one.
